WHAT ARE ISO 9000 & ISO 14000?

  • They are groups of standards which have been given the codenames ISO 9000 & ISO 14000. Using the word “standards” we mean texts with general regulations and provisions that can be applied to many different organizations and achieve homogeneity (eg general regulations for the production and placing of concrete).
  • The ISO 9000 mainly deals with quality assurance. That an organization is continuously implementing certain procedures which are intended to provide a product or service with homogeneity as well as serving customer requirements.
  • The ISO 14000 mainly deals with environmental management. That an organization performs some actions which aim to identify and significantly reduce environmental risks.
  • Directly, none of the two standards will ensure that our product is of quality or the best in the market. Indirectly, however, this is achieved if our system is complete and dynamic.
